Examination Results

Newstead is not a school driven by League Tables. The measure of our success is in the happy, confident, independent and very able young women who leave at the end of Year 13.As a community, we take every opportunity to share and celebrate each individual and collective achievement and success.

However, I know that parents, prospective parents and visitors are always keen to know how we measure up. I would therefore, on this occasion, like to take the opportunity to publicly congratulate the school and, in particular, the current Year 12 for their outstanding performance at G.C.S.E. in 2009.

Recently published data from the DCSF placed Newstead nationally 4th in GCSE attainment, out of a total number of secondary schools nationwide of 3,361.

This is a fitting tribute to the hard work of the students, the dedication of the staff and the ethos of the school.

Many congratulations.
