Parents' Association

Why Join the Newstead Wood Parents’ Association?
If you have a daughter at Newstead Wood School for Girls, you are automatically a member of the Parents’ Association.
However, have you considered helping the association by joining its committee or perhaps the social or careers sub-committees?
There are many reasons why you may wish to become a member of one of these committees:

  1. To learn more about the way the school works and to play an active part in the way funds are used;
  2. To help raise funds to enable the school to buy things that would not ordinarily be funded by the Government and which your daughter can use and benefit from;
  3. To facilitate social events at the school and to get to know other parents with similar interests;
  4. To help arrange events that will expose students at the school to new experiences;
  5. To allow girls to learn about the wide variety of careers available to them;
  6. To demonstrate to your daughter your active commitment to her education;
  7. Volunteering is proven to improve people’s happiness quotient!
